Whoever designed this kit is the worst human on the planet. The tail alone makes me want to stab dolphins in frustration.

I've wanted one of these for a long time. I am now questioning myself.

End rant.

The dreadclaw kit deserved to be discontinued. I'm glad it's gone and I'm glad I sold the two I assembled. I'd rather my guys get shot to death forever walking up the board than put together another one of those awful things.

I remember the original basilisk going together in a rather frustrating way. Also 2nd edition rhinos of any kind were a total PITA! You just cant line the parts up on those plastic messes

At least on mine, all the wavy bits at the end of the tail are not waving evenly. Not even close to evenly. I tried fixing them a bit, but the damn thing still didn't go together well or smoothly.

Then I got to that left rear leg.

Put leg halves together.

Add a toe.

Add other toe and BACK of the leg, because that should be one piece.

It just doesn't seem like it was designed well, some parts are just a little snug to fit between already glued parts.

Oh I got you. Yea there are a lot of kits where I cant for the life of me figure out why some parts are separate and others are not. Tau kits, for example, are the bane of my existence.

I thought the official list went:
1. Metal Ogre Scrap Launcher
2. Metal Tomb Kings Skull Catapult
3. SM plastic drop pod.

Is the lizard that much worse?

I've only done the drop pod of that list. But yeah, the Droth was worse. I've been doing this a long time, and I could not assemble that mini without noticeable gaps and stuff that I would consider a "mistake." Once it's painted, even to a high standard, there will be obvious faults to it. And that makes me sad.

The old FW ALL RESIN valkyrie kit was a total abortion.

So many chances for each part to warp during casting, and they ALL hit their marks, sometimes warped on multiple axes on the same piece.

Wings that were so non-euclidian, I half-expected the outer gods to come through the gates. Tail booms like bananas.

Also, complete lack of any kind of voidfill in the box, allowing the ziploc'd baggies to bounce around with wild abandon during transit, ensuring that any small fragile pieces were little more than resin jigsaws upon arrival.

I'm no noob to resin modelling, had been doing them for almost 20 years PRIOR to that first FW purchase, but the QC on that model was pure solid bodily waste.

Sure, their return and replacement policy was good, but when the replacements are equally crap, it doesn't matter much.

If you're going to charge premium prices, have premium QC to match. Other, small-volume resin kit producers managed to do it, while at the same time having much better service.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
