The Tech-Priest Dominus is a great leader for the Metalica army.

The Tech-Priest Dominus is the only leader for the Metalica army....

(I'll admit, I sit and update that site constantly for these things. I may be complaining about the wording of Graia, but I really like the Forge Worlds so far.)

Here's hoping that it's the author unintentionally leaking a possible new Ad-Mech HQ. I could see them repurposing one of the existing kits as maybe "Skitarii Primus", "Tech-Priest Minoritus", "Command Onager" or something along those lines. We got the Space Marine Lieutenant (non-primaris version), Exalted Champion and Grey Knight Grand Master in Dreadknight after all.

You're right, considering there was some rumbling about special Ad Mech Imperial Knights, it may even be as wild as an Imperial Knight Character. With characters like Morty, it's not entirely outside the realm of possibilities.

Enginseers are HQs now.

“Do not ask me to approach the battle meekly, to creep through the shadows, or to quietly slip on my foes in the dark. I am Rogal Dorn, Imperial Fist, Space Marine, Emperor’s Champion. Let my enemies cower at my advance and tremble at the sight of me.”

I still secretly am hoping that the mechanicus gets a crazy HQ or character LOW called "Biomechanical Abomination" that is really just the headless body of ferrus manus attached to a brain-in-a-jar backpack as some horrible frankenstinian monstrosity.

The Warhammer Community site has said the old elite Techpriests are HQ now.

Cool, where did they say that?
I hope that doesn't increase their cost or anything though, because as it is, they're pretty much only good as cheap mechanics behind machines to fix.

That news actually makes me super-sad. Promoting an existing plastic set to a new profile would have been better.

Tech Priest Enginseer is good, just that I was hoping for something new.

I mean, if they're smart they've done both. A character Sicarian both allows it to be played now with models already existing (and would probably sell sicarian kits as people scramble to mod up a fancy sicarian) and allows for a solitary character model release at a later date when things cool down.

I wouldn't mind getting one or two named chars to bring us in line with the other armies.

Enginseer is both an existing plastic and metal set, isn't he?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

There were two metal ones, although only one is currently available. There's also a plastic one and two FW resin ones.

@Pretre Thanks!

@the_scotsman There are two kits, one old and one new (the newer one being honestly vastly superior, and I'll more likely get another of that even though it's monopose than get one of the old kits) but I think the idea was to get a *new* HQ instead of just shifting around an elite choice, creating nothing new.

They are elites in the Index, though.

Techpriest Enginseers were stated on GW's facebook page as a cheaper alternative HQ choice to the Dominus.
