So I'm not sure if Iron Warriors can have marks of chaos but I couldn't find anything saying they cant so here is an interesting list.

The Brass scorpion is a huge threat and will occupy all the opponents firepower until it dies, hopefully my Dinobots can be annoying enough to help it survive longer.

During this time the Helbrutes and Defiler are gonna be very low priority so even though the Alpha legion trait to get a -1 to hit is really very nice, it wont serve much of a purpose until my advancing force is dead since the opponent wont shoot at the Helbrutes and I wanted to get more mileage out of my trait. So I went with the Iron Warriors for their Ignore cover trait which is great for this making sure those shots land better.

Iron warriors also have access to one of the best Artefacts for the Daemon princes, that Fleshmetal Exoskeleton bringing the Princes Armor save to a 2+ and regenerating a wound per turn is absolutely great, by adding the Warlord trait for +1 wound (bringing him to the peak level of 9 wound Character) and a 6+ FnP and even the possibility of a -1 to hit with his spell, this is a superbly tough Warlord: Character, 9W, T6, 2+ArSv, 5++ InvSv, 6+++ FnP, Regenerate a wound per turn, possible -1 to hit.
He can either stay to protect the shooty base if the opponent has a fair amount of close combat that could reach them (giving them re-roll "1"s to hit aura) or move upwards with the forward force

Super Heavy Auxiliary Detachment

625 - Greater Brass Scorpion

Vanguard Detachment

189 - Daemon Prince - Wings - 2x Malefic Talons - Warpbolter - Nurgle - Miasma of Pestilence Spell - Iron Warrior - Warlord - Unholy Fortitude - Fleshmetal Exoskeleton Artifact -

185 - Heldrake - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Baleflamer
185 - Heldrake - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Baleflamer
152 - Maulerfiend - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Lasher tendrils

215 - Defiler - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Twin Lascannon - Battlecannon - Defiler Scourge - Combi Bolter
147 - Helbrute - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Twin Lascannon - Missile launcher
147 - Helbrute - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Twin Lascannon - Missile launcher
147 - Helbrute - Nurgle - Iron Warrior - Twin Lascannon - Missile launcher

1992pts Total - 9 deployments - 4 Command point

This seems very competitive, very few TAC list will have enough anti tank to take out these big boys.

I know that a Brass Scorpion with Nurgle Iron Warriors seems a bit unfluffy but its not too bad, the Brass scorpion is one of the best siege engines ever so Iron warriors will respect its wallbusting abilities, I also always figured that Khorne and Nurgle can work well together.

Very enjoyable list idea.
I hope it plays well. My worry would be getting bogged down by hordes and unable to claim objectives effectively

Yeah a horde list is one of the biggest counters to a list like this but its still doing ok against them considering all the Missile launcher shots, Baleflamers, Hellmaw Blasters, Battle cannon, Lasher Tendrills/Defiler Scourge I have.
The Demonprince is also equipped for more attacks to help against this specifically.

Against a horde list I would focus on the units that can harm me first and then use my high maneuverability models to capture objectives after killing enough guys holding it to still capture them (targeting the objectives which aren't as heavily guarded if possible)

Personally I don't rate the Brass Scorpion, a Lord of Skulls cost virtually the same, has 28 wounds, compatible shooting and combat and doesn't really get worse with damage. A bit slower but at least you can warp time it to get in combat turn one.

Other than that, looks solid and should be fun to play.

I will agree that a Lord of Skull is a superbeast, but the Scorpions shooting is in a different league making him a high priority target that will require the opponent to dedicate a lot of firepower to kill. The Lord of skull being tougher and less lethal might easily be ignored in the beginning. The Scorpion also is great in not really degrading badly as he takes damage.

The Scorpions Soulshatter bombard has a potential of dealing 72 wounds in one shot. it actually has a decent chance to take out an imperial knight in one shot (especially with command point re-roll to get a nice high ammount of hits on the Heavy D6), this isnt even considering the Scorpion cannon or his Hellmaw blaster. The Lord of skull could not hope to do the same.

The Scorpion is also much more effective against hordes with his Hellmaw Blaster which is one of the biggest counter to this kind of list.

I just finished building my Brass Scorpion so Im building a list for it, a Lord of Skull list would be very similar, I could just replace the Scorpion with a Lord of Skull (Skullhurler and Gorestorm cannon) and a Chaos lord on foot with Powerfist to give a re-roll "1" aura to the shooty base, would be very good too... Its one more deployment but it is tougher.

One thing to remember is that the Hellmaw blasters are pistols, so can't be shot if you shoot the other guns (but can be fired in combat )

wow, I did miss that. damn so the hellmaw blaster instead of the other two.
I guess its for overwatch more than anything.

huh, this is a big blow to the offensive capability of this super beast. Annoying.

Oh well, he can still do tons of shooty damage so can still do his job. And is also a great model for a lord of skull if need be
