So, I've started work on some Arco-Flagellants. Here's a WIP shot:

The base is Empire Flagellants. On some, I have filed off the hands and glued on the ends of some flails. On others, I have skipped out on their arms entirely and instead used the "Mekanikal Arm" bits from Kromlech, giving them a healthy variety of saws and drills in place of their normal arms. And some others still have their regular organic arms, wielding seemingly regular flails. For all of the above conversions, I will be using green stuff to smoothe out the joins on these bits.

For heads...well, only three have heads so far, and they've been using the masked heads from the Flagellant sprue.

Some questions before I proceed any further:
-I've run out of good heads for the Arcos. I want them all to have a "masked" look in keeping with the pacifier helms on the official Arco-Flagellant models. Any good recommendations for stand-ins? Alternatively, any tutorials/tips on how to make such masks with green stuff?
-I've kind of backed myself into a corner with the guys with regular flails, since they don't exactly convey the look of strength 5 drug-enhanced cyber nutcases. As such, I'm toying with the idea of attaching wires or tubes of some sort to their backs to represent their combat drugs/cybernetic augmentation. Any ideas on how I might accomplish this? Thanks.

Any other ideas on how to make these guys would be appreciated.

Look at the Electro Priests kit for heads, although he aware they're on the smaller side. I've no idea how big the Empire Flagellent bodies are, but the Priests heads are noticeably too small for a Marine body, which scuppered my plans for them. Lots of blindfolds and other details on them though, if they'll look right on those bodies. Otherwise maybe Dark Eldar Wracks?

As for tubes? Guitar strings are popular, or check out the tube maker from green stuff world for a way to make your own.

You could try paper clips for the tubing, and if you're brave, you could heat the ends of the paper clip and push them into the model.

Should then stay put!

Failing that, super glue or two part epoxy would do the job.

I've tried Marine-sized heads, and no, they are definitely too large for the flagellant bodies. Re: Electro Priests, I should have used them as the base for these guys to begin with. I will check out the tube maker, though.

I'll try that, given that I have a hefty number of paperclips on hand.

I think you've misunderstood, the EP heads are too small for a Marine body, so if Marine sized heads are too big for the Flagellant bodies then the odds are good the EP heads will scale ok with them.

Ah. Makes sense. Although at this rate it would feel weird to get an entire box of Electro Priests just for the heads.
