So, my nooby objective is as follow : bring 500pts full painted the next time I play.
I need to settle on a list and to work on it only.
Help me fill the hundredish points I have left.

What I have ready (and want/will play) :

Warboss + PK 80pts
5 Nobz+5 ammo runts + 1 big choppa +1 power staba 117
30 Boyz + Nob Power Klaw (or Big choppa) 205 (189)

Total is 402pts (386)

What I have ready to paint on my workbench (I put a plus if I can manage to bring a few more lads)

10 (+?) Stormboyz + Big Choppa nob = 89pts
5 Kommandos + 2 burnas + BC nob = 54pts
5 (+1) Lootas = 85pts
10 (+?) Boyz + BC Nob = 69pts

What should I choose ?

You need 2 troops for the Patrol detachment.

Maybe this:
WB
20x Boyz Nob w/ BC
20x Boyz Nob w/ BC
5x Kommandos
5x Lootas

Or this:
WB
20x Boyz Nob w/ BC
20x Boyz Nob w/ BC
5x Nobs w/ BC & Staba, 4x Runts
5x Stormboy Nob w/BC

Or you could play with 20x & 10x Boyz to get more special stuff in. Try all of that and see what you like best.

General idea is for Kommandos and Stormboyz to cause harassment and tie up units while the regular Boyz walk up the field.

Side note, you only need one Troops for a Patrol Detachment - but I couldn't make a list with the models you had that I liked.

I *have* to take the Nobz or else I will be too short in time to have all painted.

The more I think of it the more I think the 10 extra boyz are a must have. But why 2x20 boyz and not 1x30 & 1x10 so one of the squad may have the +1 attack ?

I mainly did it for Mob Rule so they can share Leadership 20.

If you have to include Nobz then I would definitely bump a unit up to 30 Boyz and either have 10 Shoota Boyz for objective holding or drop the other unit alltogether. Probably take the Lootas for backfield support.

Not if they are standing near the squad of 30 boyz!

I suggest painting up the rest of the normal boys before going on to paint the specialists.

So far as I heard, the +1A is for current unit size. I can't see a scenario where two blobs of sluggas will charge in unharmed.

The list I suggeted (rejected by OP due to time constraints) had Kommandos and Stormboyz as an immediate threat which would keep the Troops alive.

In my opinion, that would be the best list for 500
494/500 Patrol
Warboss /w Power Klaw, Kustom Shoota, Attack Squig
2x29Boyz Slugga Choppa and 1 Nob /w Power Klaw

Almost every army will have a problem to kill so many orks.

These are all pretty nice lists, but as Frozocrone said, since I have time constraints, I will go with this one

We are gonna play with Open War cards (which I forget to say), so the 10 boyz can either go with the main line or camp an objectif and the kommandos will give me some flexibility.
