Typhus looks really bad to me and this thread has helped me work out why. Well, not bad exactly (I can appreciate the skill in the sculpt and detail) but not like Typhus. I think it is a combination of:

- Cartoony aesthetic. All the bold lines and shapes take away from my preferred grittier style for Nurgle. I mean, who thought those flies fitted in? What are they, the size of cats!? Just out of scale and comical to boot
- Busy sculpt. Too much going on. That actually helps take away the cartoony profile a bit but 2 wrongs don't make a right...
- The pose. I was going to describe it as camp. It reminded me of a panto villain. However, as other posters have pointed out it is probably more reminiscent of 80s hair rock

Now, yes, you can leave off some details and try to carve off or sculpt over others but that's a lot of work and still leaves a weird dynamic pose. Overall the DG releases have been too comical/cartoony for me. I know Nurgle has a slight toungue in cheek cheerfulness but it is like the designers turned that up to 11 and dialled everything else down. I would have preferred the odd nod to humour (I love that grinning termie from the earlier teaser pictures, for example).

Now this is all personal preference but it makes me fear for the Emporer's children release I am hopeful for...
