Hopefully someone will clarify this for me and maybe answer a couple questions I have.

Prior to the game I am required to set aside points which will be used for the units summoned via Daemonic Ritual. While doing this, am I required to specify what exactly the points are for? For instance, do I have to say "these points are for two units of Plaguebearers?" Or these points are for one unit of Plague Drones?" Do I need to have these units on my lists at all? Can I simply say "I have set aside 135 points for Daemonic Ritual"

In order for a CSM Legion to receive its Legion trait, your detachment must be made entirely of that specific Legion. When I set aside points for summoning a unit of Daemons, do those Daemons count against me for Legion traits? This is dependent on the answer to the first question I suppose.

Hoping to hear some feedback from folks on these rules as the rules in the codex seem very barebones.

As I understand it, you can save points and not specify until you want to summon. And reserving points in this way doesn't affect any detachment bonuses, as the units are not part of a detachment.

The 'Daemonic Ritual' rule never says you must declare what you're going to spend the points on at the start of the game. Simply follow the rules as written in the Codex/Index.
