So, I'm toying with the possibility of buying a box of WHFB/AOS Dire Wolves to convert into DE Khymerae (because, y'know, 1/4 of the price per model, and not failcast), and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any companies that would sell something like a sprue of just tentacles, that could be used for adding a bit more of a Khymera look to them.

And yes, I know I could probably just make tentacles out of green stuff. But I've just spent several weeks molding blaster muzzles, and man am I sick of working with modelling putty.

I know you said you didn't want green stuff option, but I love this thing for wires and tubes for ork vehicles.

I haven't really tried making tentacles, but it does that too, and it is very easy to use.

Not sure how easy these would be to clip off but

I suspect some US store will carry them

Yeah, I imagine the webbing between tentacles would pose some difficulty clipping them, and not really the type of tentacles I'm looking for, anyway. Know what to get my best friend for her birthday, though.

Ah, yeah, I was looking at the Chaos Spawn, because they just have some great stuff in general that could make some really janky Khymerae, but at that point I could have just paid $80 for 10 Khymerae

That's actually really cool, I might have to check that out. Would be less working by hand with greenstuff, at least.

If it hadn't been for the "no green stuff" specification I'd have gone with the tube maker too.

Just got one myself, but despite coming from Green Stuff World, I'd actually recommend use grey stuff with it, Magic Sculpt or similar, as it cures that much harder, the green stuff tentacles remain a bit too rubbery and flexible for my liking.

Recently I've grow partial to Milliput, myself. Holds detail great, cures really hard, and it works so easily with a little water on your fingers. The only thing I don't like with it is that it doesn't sand or file as well as green stuff.

Now that the tyranid venomthrope / zoanthrope kit has gone dual use there should be a good chunk of tentacles spare.
Or just buy the kit and clip out the tentacles and sell as zoanthrope only on ebay.
