So I started my Death Guard army and I'm loving it so far.

I'm wanting to work on stuff while I wait for the newer models to become available and I was thinking about trying to use Skaven in my army (I mean, who better to spread the plague than rats? )

So first I decided to replace my pox walkers (Not a fan of the model) to Skaven Plague Monks. Thankfully, since there are no load out changes for that model, I can just straight up proxy them.

Where it starts to get a bit rough, as I have zero experience in converting stuff, is finding the right Skaven models to convert to cultists and how to do it.

Are there 3rd party sites with stuff for this? Can I cleanly kit-bash say... a cultist box and a clan rats box?

Any guidance will be much appreciated.

My reaction was to take said die, and hurl it out the window of the 3rd floor of our student union. I then placed a Commissar model next to the rest of my dice pile. They immediately began performing much better.

I think the cultists are mostly single-part models, so you won't get many spare bits out of them. But they only have two wargear options; autoguns or pistols with brutal assault weapons. You could probably get away with not modeling the pistols, so your choice is to either give them pretty much any gakky looking CC weapon or gakky looking guns. As far as performance goes it doesn't make a huge difference which way you go.
