I'm reading the death guard codex and it looks like the plague sword is not a plague weapon. Am I missing something? I know it's obvious just need to make sure I'm not going insane.

I don't see a 'plague sword' listed in the Gifts of the Plague God section of the codex. Do you mean a 'power sword'?

'Plaguesword' and not 'Plague Sword'

There has been no FAQ so far, so until such time the answer is no, it is not a Plague Weapon. That would be the Balesword.

I do not have the Codex on hand right now, but in the Index and Dark Imperium mini-DG 'Dex a Plaguesword was not listed as a Plague Weapon, but had an ability that made it re-roll all failed Wound rolls.

Double-check a Datasheet like the Plague Marines or Plaguebearers for (hopefully) some clarification on whether it retained it's old rules.

It goes one better and allows all failed To Wound rolls to be re-rolled, not just 1s. The Plague Weapon ability would be worse.

That's fine, just making sure I wasn't going mad. Thanks all

Plague Sword is not a Plague weapon, but every relevant ability appears to target Plague Swords AND plague weapons, so don't see a problem.

Actually it’s just an even better plague weapon... 6 times to be exact.

Bow down to Guilliman for he is our new God Emperor!

DakkaDakka is really the place where you need anti-tank guns to kill basic dudes, because anything less isn't durable enough.
