So i painted my land raider and rhino as world eaters but found im going death guard instead. Should i just paint over them? Or is it better to strip the paint (not sure how though)

It's worth researching how to strip models and going for it. I use a British product so dunno whether it would be of help in Canada, but have a look online and find a product you have access to and follow the tutorial.

If you try and paint over it you will end up with a poor model no matter how well you paint it. You just can't hide all those layers of paint by that point.

In Canada, go to Walmart and get Super Clean. It's in a purple container. It MOSTLY works. I say mostly because I have some varnished stuff that just won't come off (soaking for weeks at this point). OTOH, other stuff, even varnished stuff, came off quite easily. It doesn't seem to harm GW plastics, but for safety's sake put it in a glass container and use eye and hand protection, or you'll get chemical burns.

Note I tried Simple Green and 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, and neither of those work very well. I understand the formula for Simple Green was changed recently so people recommending it probably mean the old formula. Don't bother, go straight to Super Clean. Try soaking it for 4 hours and see how much that takes off, then try longer if you need to.

Strip, without question. You know crappy looking models? It's often because they're on their 3rd or 4th "layer" of paintjob.

Always strip. A few layers of paint may not seem like much, but it's amazing how quickly you start killing detail.

Oh, one interesting note. If you ever have cause to strip models that are primed but not painted (maybe you had a roughed up prime job, maybe like just happened with me, you come into some models that are primed too dark for light colors to take well), grab a big, throw away brush, and your least favorite paint (or buy some cheap acrylic just for this) and give the models a quick once over paint job and let them dry overnight before you strip them. For some reason, I don't know why, maybe somebody who is better at sciencing does, models with paint and primer strip far, far more cleanly and quickly then models with just primer.
