What with the unique nature of the Death Guard release, including the 7-man Plague Marine box, it seems likely that a lot of people will be converting their Plague Marines for more variety. I thought I would start a thread where people can share their ideas and progress. I'm still waiting on bits so I haven't started in earnest yet, but here are some of the bits I'm planning to use. They are mainly from the Blightkings kit:

Spoiler:

Giant Nurgling marine, anyone?

Spoiler:

I also can't wait to use this rotted head.

Spoiler:

And of course the weapons from the Blightkings kit will make for some great Bubotic Axes. Maybe even the scythe for Typhus?

For me, one of the best parts about Death Guard is that you can really go wild and do a lot of creative stuff with them. I'm having a lot more fun with them than I normally do with Space Marines. So, what are you guys coming up with?

The above links to my various Imgur albums for my DG. The army pic is no longer up to date as I'm up to 7 Dreads now and there's a 4th PM unit too. Hope you get some inspiration from this.

Nice work! Those dreads are pretty sweet, I can tell you put a lot of effort into them! Are they almost entirely scratch built?

One other thing I plan to do is turn some Plague Drones into Daemon Princes - much more Nurgley and about $10 cheaper than using the normal Daemon Prince models.

All of the Dreads (with the exception of the first (listed as "Dread 2" in the army shot, though it was the first one I built) whose body is an actual Dread sarcophagus) bodies are built from a core of four 25mm square bases with various bits like Defiler leg plates layered over the top.

There was no real plan in building any of these, as they sort of coalesced into these final forms (hence why I have one as a Contemptor as he got a little big).

Very impressive. That's exactly the kind of thing I was talking about when I said I like DG because you can get creative with it.

An idea for Blight Drones:

The Seeker Chariot of Slaanesh has bunches and bunches of bladed wheels that would be enough to make Fleshmowers for several Blight drones.
