I'm putting together a death army and I'm really wracking my mind on how to go about modeling a couple of female, winged vampires.

The models I want to make need to be mostly GW parts.

What base models / wing sets have people been using for their own armies?

I've been looking through the GW catalogue for hours and I've seen 1-2 bits and pieces but I definitely need some opinions.

As well as the vampire lord, I had an idea in my head to do Vargheists as winged vampires that were half way through changing and shifting into Vargheists so I need a few different options and varieties.

There are all kinds of kits with a lot of wings you could use. Tyranid Gargoyles, Dark Eldar Reavers or whatever their flying units are etc. You can order just the wings from those kits from bits sellers. Whichever base model you go with depends on the look you're going for. Are they more feral/decrepit, or more like your common, human looking vampire? Should be plenty of options either way.
