+++++++++Thread Interrupted++++++++++ Initializing Terraforming.......#132687426538757823+++++++++++++++++++++

So here I go with a dump of photos of a new table that I just about finished for Dakka user and trusted ally, 'Randy McStab'.
I had most of the materials knocking around and all of the paint, so after treating myself to some gak cheap brushes and a crap roller set I got to work.
Big mix of black spooge was rolled and stabpainted onto everything then an evening to dry.
After that it was just a case of some colour. Smashed on a bit of paint then a cheeky drybrush.
It's all been flocked although I have to seal it before it all falls off in transit.... I'd like to add a bit more here and there especially to the quartered hill rockfaces and will do some static grass/tufts.
I'd like to frame the baseboard to stop it damaging too badly and as a dice catcher and there are a few other fiddles like the 'blank' sides of the hills and undersides that could do with a coat of paint or two.
At this stage the fiddling could go on forever; adding wet effects, the odd skull, staining on the rocks, mushrooms, more clump foliage, more flock variety, tufts, static grass etc etc
It's done for the moment, however, and that's all stuff that Randy can deal with little by little or as things get chipped and need touching up.

Here's a pic of it flocked and also unflocked, i've got some more snaps if anyone fancies?

I may well take these pics elsewhere for a tutorial at some point if there's any interest and there are wip pics over in Randy's excellent blog (pgs 38/39) https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/330376.page ...... but would be happy to answer any questions here too. His Ultramarines and Imperial Guard ain't too bad either.

I've also had some old scenery dropped off too and most of it is salvageable. Some needs very little work so i'm hoping to get that done to match asap, there are some ruins need a pretty big revamp and new basing etc so that's a little more involved. I'll update with those somewhere......

Cheers, guys, let me know what you think and or if you feel that there is anything missing or that could be added over time, he'll need Birthday and Christmas presents at some point .
C+C always welcome.

Brilliant work as usual Alex. What a lovely gift for young Randal.

I mean, it needs more skull mushrooms on it obviously.

Thanks again, it's looking brilliant, I'm looking forward to blowing some stuff up on it.
