The dark behind the eyes.

Sorry if this is a silly question (I'm not an expert on 40k lore), but is there a reason why Tech priest Enginseers can repair Admech or IG vehicles, but Tech Priest Dominus can only repair Admech stuff?

It just struck me as odd.

Yeah, when i read the small novel that is the Death Guard unit options and think about resolving the attacks from a melee-oriented min size death guard squad, the thing that springs to mind is "Accessible!"

You're not. If you're worried about your opponent using 'fake' rules, you're having fun the wrong way. This hobby isn't about rules. It's about buying Citadel miniatures.

No, it's a rules decision. Lorewise, Dominus is a war title. A dominus's real title could be one of a myriad of titles. He could be someone that has risen through politics, or by merit of exploration... when they lead a battle maniple, they'll take the title of dominus, but they're all quite capable Tech Priests, and basically anything the imperium uses has been sanctified by one of them.

I'm guessing Dominuses see it as beneath them to bother which such lowly machines. Haven't read the Dominuses lore in the Admech codex to know if this is the truth or not but that would be the best bet. That and if a Dominus could repair IG vehicles then people would wonder why they couldn't just buy him for their army, so it was probably just done that way to prevent confusion.
