Road/Kill is the tabletop miniatures game where horsepower meets firepower! A unique mix of anticipation and chaos in a setting that blends Mad Max, Judge Dredd and Dune, Road/Kill can be played by 2-4 players in an hour or two with a variety of scenarios and settings to choose from.

Sure looks better than the other post-apoc vehicle combat game on KS right now.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Huh, I remember backing this a few years ago, but the kickstarter unfortunately didn't make it. It used a bunch of roads and things as terrain though, not open space.

So this (R/K: Vendetta) is actually an "expansion" to that game (Road/Kill: Ultimate Car Combat). Road/Kill first appeared on KS in Fall 2013 - funding unsuccessful. Then in 2015, there was a successful KS (teamed up with Johnny Lauck). You can buy the R/K stuff from that KS via Trenchworx.

The original R/K was a little looser. R/K: Vendetta seems like a more sophisticated take on vehicle skirmish. I don't quite know why it is called an expansion (or exactly how it relates to Book 1: Highwaymen, which is a PDF reward in this KS) when it seems more like a revised edition of the game.

Some scenarios in the first iteration of R/K used roads (the "steelback") but others could be played on open ground.

Just watched the video. Game actually looks really good, kind of reminds me a little of X-Wing the way the template movement works. It's got a lot of things that really hit the right buttons for me though, custom characters, loadout customization, vehicle sheets, not to mention the post apocalyptic aesthetic (although its not strictly a PA setting).

Shame the funding isn't doing too well.

It's a pretty big goal for sure.

I love this game... i've played the "base" game many times. The car customization is a lot of fun and the rules actually feel like i'm driving!

Much recommended. And the scale is perfect if you already have a Dropzone Commander table!

Looks like they are going to change the pledge levels to "give them more value". This kind of thing is usually a death knell for a kickstarter. I'll give it two weeks before it's cancelled so they can "rethink the campaign".

If they do I might look at picking up the core rules and some minis. It does look pretty fun.

Says 12mm in the kickstarter.

Nice stuff, hope these can turn this or a future campaign into a success.

The Johnny Lauck KS said identified it as N Scale, which is 1:148. So yeah I guess a 6' tall person would be about 12mm tall in N scale.
