So I'm entering a local 40k tournament on Saturday and this is the list I wrote up for the event. Standard ITC missions are going to be used, possible NOVA as well. The premise of the list is my love for the new blightlord models. They are gorgeous. I feel like having two units with a chaos termie lord on their flanks could help take a lot of the heat off of Mortarion. So here's the list.

Outrider detachment:

Chaos lord - Bolt Pistol, Balesword
Foetid Bloat Drone - 2 Plague Spitters and Plague Probe
Foetid Bloat Drone - 2 Plague Spitters and Plague Probe
Foetid Bloat Drone - 2 Plague Spitters and Plague Probe

Vanguard Detachment:
Chaos Lord in terminator armor - Bale Sword, Combi-Plasma
5 Blightlord Terminators - 1 with Flail of Corruption, 1 with Reaper Autocannon and Bubonic Axe, Champion and the other two with Bubonic Axe and Combi-Plasma.
5 Blightlord Terminators - 1 with Flail of Corruption, 1 with Reaper Autocannon and Bubonic Axe, Champion and the other two with Bubonic Axe and Combi-Plasma.
Biologus Putrifier - Plague Bringer (to give him a bit more oomph in combat)
Chaos Rhino
7 Plague Marines - Bolters and Plague Knives, 1 Plasma Gun

Auxiliary Super Heavy:
Mortarion

The Blightlords and the termie lord drop in one each flank and help harass backfield units or maybe do a bit of AT with the lord re-rolling the 1s on the plasma. My goal is to hopefully have them be like distraction carnifexes and take a bunch of shots or make the charge rolls and lock up problematic units in combat. The 3 bloat drones can help Morty move up and greatly benefit from his warlord trait and are also fast enough to keep up with him. The rhino carries the 8 PMs, the other Chaos Lord, and the Putrifier as my "grenade" squad. They can also hold objectives in a pinch if needed. The few games I have played with this list have all been good for me.

Also an alternative list to this is cutting Morty and adding in 3 Plagueburst Crawlers with sluggers and entropy cannons and baby sitting them with the arch-contaminator foot lord with the helm. Any comments are appreciated c:

I would use Typhus for one of the lords. He is a beast and can cast two spells like miasma of pestilence helping the termies live.

Really dig the list, I like the ability to swap Morty and the crawlers. Will be following the thread with interest!

I like the list. I would normally choose the PBC over Morty myself, but with all of your force being in your face rather than a traditional march or gunline I think Morty is the best bet there. This leaves basically nothing left behind and makes you super flexible... not to mention decently fast for a DG army. Plus without having Poxwalkers or more Plague Marines Morty gives you much needed anti horde. Looks like a fun list!

Thanks for the feedback so far! As to why I don't use Typhus is due to points. I would have to make cuts somewhere. I could cut the putrifier and foot lord to add in Typhus but then my PM squad is mostly useless. I do love Typhus though, he's a beast! Unfortunately due to family I couldn't enter this weekend. I have been testing this list more and more and I have been winning a large majority of games with it. I smashed my 2 games this week for my local GW league. I can definitely say this list is real fun and pretty fast for a Death Guard army.
