Subject: [2000] - Death Guard - Typhus, elites and infantry bubble

Hi guys!
I'm back from a few months break, and thought i'd try out the new DG index. I've played a couple games with the new index, and i'm not convinced about the PM... They always seem to be targeted and die too easily. So i thought i'd have a go without them.
This list is kindof like a little death star with the characters in the middle of all the infantry, the mortars in the backfield and drones on the flanks. The idea is to use "the dead walk again" and "cloud of flies" CP on a plague bearer unit each turn. The "cloud of flies" might not be a must, but its a nice option to combine with the other. Hopefully this will let the body shield stay up for long enough to let the blightspawn, terminators and typhus to get to work!
Let me know that you guys think.
Thank you.

You should just run Poxwalkers instead of Plaguebearers. By taking Plaguebearers you are no longer a <Death Guard> detachment; thus you will not have access to the stratagems or bonuses like Inexorable Advance.
I think overall it looks fairly well balanced, the Deathshroud Terminators are a bit of a gamble. You might be better off with Blightlord Terminators instead.

Yes, there are a few aruras they do not benefit from, but The plague bearers are there for two reasons. First, they can be summoned by my psychers onto objectives or on my flanks as shields for my characters, and secondly for the "the dead walk again" stratagem, if combined with "cloud of flies" stratagem, they basically turn into poxwalkers when they die if they are close enough to the poxwalker unit. And with my 12 CP, it wont be a problem to use this every turn. So the cultists and the PB are shielding a unit of poxwalkers who are again shielding my characters making them almost impossible to kill! well, thats the plan anyways. i have yet to try out this exact list.
I can't see why i would swap the deathshroud with blightlords either, they give all my characters an additional attack and provides a look out sir, the blightlords are a bit more versatile, but i like how the deathshroud are kitted out.
Sorry for arguing against all your propositions, i do appreciate your input.

You can't use those stratagems ("The dead walk again" and "Cloud of flies") in this army list. To use them you need to have at least one Death Guard detachment. To make DG detachment you need every unit in it to have "Death Guard" keyword (or "<Legion>" keyword and be able to choose "Death Guard"). Plaguebearers are not able to have "Death Guard" keyword (like most of non-marines Daemons - check index). So you dont have any DG detachment in your army list. Change Pleaguebearers to Cultist or make another detachments with them (if you really want them) or you can forget to use that tactic (or any DG stratagem, legion trait, warlord trait, psychics, relics, tactical objective etc.)
I know PB are in DG Codex, but it mean nothing. You need to check keywords.
From DG Codex:
SCIONS OF MORTARION - Page 96: "In this section you’ll find rules for Battle-forged armies that include DEATH GUARD Detachments – that is, any Detachment which includes only DEATH GUARD units."
STRATAGEMS - Page 98: "If your army is Battle-forged and includes any DEATH GUARD Detachments (excluding Auxiliary Support Detachments), you have access to the Stratagems shown below"

Just dont' write the Plaguebearers in the army list and spare the points they need. If you summon them during the battle with one of characters your Death Guard detachment isn't affected.
