I noticed today that the entire box is just gone from the GW website. It's not out of stock or anything. It's just deleted completely. I know most repackagings for 8th tend to just put the item out of stock temporarily and not remove their entry entirely. With the upcoming changes to Eldar and Tyranid starters, I don't think it's out of the question that the vanilla marines may get a new box. The 10 tacs, 1 dread, and 1 Captain is a bit dated.

75% likely to be reboxed with the new art and no actual content update. 25% they're coming out with a new one.

75% on the new art because this has been happening to old sets basically every week since 8th edition dropped (and we get a similar thread every so often). Miltiarium Tempestus was the most noticed one if I remember.

25% it's actual new content because the Tyranids and Eldar have been confirmed to be getting new Start Collecting sets, so I would not be surprised if the SM got an update too (especially since the contents are not really desirable due to being so ubiquitous).

I have seen leaks that they're coming out with a new start collecting for Eldar. But i'm not sure that it's real. if that's the case i would imagine they'll do the same for other factions.

I was thinking just a simple rebox at first, but I don't remember other reboxes getting removed completely. All of the ones I've seen were just moved to temporarily out of stock status. Unless I missed some of course.

The Tempestus Scion one was removed completely, due to the rebox technically being a new product. same thing happened to the Wave Serpent and the Necron Ghost Ark I think (among various others).
