Hey all,

Thinking about signing up for a local tournament coming up in a few weeks to get my feet wet in the competitive scene. I've got most of these models, but wanted to get a read from everyone here before I paid for the rest. List first, explanation below.

Expandable list:
Spoiler:
Battalion - Drukhari - 3 CP

HQ
Archon - Blaster, Agoniser, PGL - 76
Archon - Blaster, Agoniser - 73

Troops
5 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster, Sybarite w/ PGL - 53
3x5 Kabalite Warriors - Blaster - 50 each

Fast Attack
4x Pair of Khymerae - 80
3x Pair of Khymerae - 60
3x Pair of Khymerae - 60

Heavy Support
3x Ravager - Lances - 155 each

Dedicated Transport
5x Venom, double Splinter Cannons - 95 each

Air Wing - Drukhari - 1 CP
3x Voidraven, Dark Scythes - 169 each

Should be pretty straightforward. Archons provide accurate Blasters and a PGL, Kabs do their ObSec thing. Khymerae either tear into T3 hordes, provide area denial, or contest objectives. Ravagers and Voidravens go after the big guns.

I know Razorwing Jets are the popular choice, but I figured for 14 points more I get a Voidraven with a weapon that's nearly as effective against high toughness, an significantly better against mid and low toughness. Plus a couple more wounds and the mind for mortal wounds. Seemed like an obvious choice to me, but correct me if I'm wrong there.

I think I covered most of the bases with this list - I've got plenty of high S for vehicles, lots of poison for nidzilla and daemons with invulns, 3 Voidravens for mortal wounds, and a healthy amount of poison and Khymerae combined should let me be kind of okay ish agianst infantry.

Not sure about those beasts since I've never fielded them, but overall the list looks solid, for sure. It's probably a bit redundant on anti tank though, I'd cut a couple of blasters to spare the points to give disintegrator cannons to two of your ravagers. In fact poisoned shots are not that good against infantries, I think some disintegrator cannons can help against hordes while not being completely useless against high T targets.

That change should make the list more TAC, and you'd still got 3 lances, 4 blasters and 3 flyers for pure anti tank.

I disagree about cutting blasters. I would cut those beasts before I took blasters out of the list. Blasters are actually quite versatile as they can threaten heavy armor multi-wound units as well as vehicles when you bring them in numbers.

I am not really a fan of dissies. Its true they are only slightly worse than DL against vehicles but, the increased point cost just doesn't work for me.

To me a competitive list must have at least 10-12 dark lances (Counting dark scythes as a Dark Lance since they are only slightly worse than one against vehicles) with 5-7 blasters to work.

IMO competitive DE are best with 3 ravagers, 3 or 4 flyers, and then fill out the rest of the army with as many warriors and blasters as possible.
