Canada Eh?

So i was thinking about purchasing a knight titan, however i usually play much smaller games around 750-1250 and was wondering when should i field something of this scale? When is it sportsmanlike to field a lord of war? Im worried that it would preform to well (my main opponent plays dark eldar and they are not a very strong army) so let me know what points level you would consider it sportsmanlike to field a lord of war.

Whatever your opponent agrees upon?

I would decline a game of less than 1500, but that is just me. I would rather see the game at 2k for a titan.

In war there is poetry; in death, release.

For me, a single Lord of War is fine at 2k as long as it isn't one of the crazy Heresy era ones or a Warhound. Anything below 1.5k and it is getting a bit odd unless you know beforehand or it is a preset scenario. For pickup games it seems a bit much at 1250.

Any points cost above it's own cost is when it is 'sportsmanlike' to bring a Knight or a Baneblade.

However, from experience, at low points levels, a Lord of War concentrates too much of your army into one model.

I wouldn't recommend composing more that 1/3 of your list by cost with a Lord of War, because it starts to become a handicap rather than an asset.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!
