Hi does vectored engines and lightning assult stack ? I know there diffrent names but they do the exact same thing , just thinking you can use the new craftworld trait to bring them to -3 to hit just for advancing

We need more information to be able to help you. Where are those rules from (i.e. what book), what units are they on etc. Are you talking about the brand new Aeldari codex that most people won't have? Or the Index units?

Sorry i complety forgot to add what units i was talking about , its the hornets from forgeworld , there rule is

On any turn in which this model Advances, your opponent must subtract 1 from hit rolls for attacks that target this model in the Shooting phase.

With the vectored engine upgrade
If a model with vectored engines Advances, your opponent must subtract 1 from all hit rolls for ranged weapons that target it until your next Movement phase

And the new eldar codex which i am just basing of reviews whic is a flat -1 to hit if your more than 12 away . Its the stacking of the two rules i am most intressed in
Thank you

It seems they do stack.

In that case, as far as I can see they will all stack.

Do we know for sure the trait will apply to Hornets though? All the other codexes have restricted the trait benifit to a subset of models (Infantry, Bikes and Dreads for SM etc) so it's possible the trait won't affect the Hornets.

In any case, the Engines and Lightning Assault do stack regardless.

The Alaitoc trait affects all [Alaitoc] models. I don't have the exact rules for the Hornet, but I'd guess it has [Craftworld], and thus can be Alaitoc.

Isn't it just the Space Marines that don't get traits for their vehicles?

They do stack, and will stack with new CWE trait Alaitoc b.c they do have the Craftworld keyword.

Expect this this change.

Edit: Just letting you know, i played them a few times (with Shuriken Cannons so i can advance every turn) they dont do enough damage honestly, sure -3 to hit is really good, but when you do 1-2 wounds a turn its not like it matters.
