Evening fellow Navallers,

The giant behemoth that is Jutland rolled out of the stocks into the show that is the Derby Worlds a couple of weeks ago.

I have done a full report on the game, it's set up and how we got on, liberally sprinkled with lots of pics of course !

A great couple of days with a monster of a game. For you full on Naval geeks I have listed the damage to each of the ships involved. I have put it at the end so "normal" people can stop reading before hand.

Hopefully Project Jutland will see the light of day again, no plans as yet but I'm open to offers (mostly pie and beers based offers that is).

Regards Ken

I had no idea that there was someone daft... erm... I mean dedicated enough to do Jutland. Wow!

A few months ago, I was looking at minis for it and had a "maybe I could just..." moment. Reality then hit me in the head and I realised that there was no chance in hell of ever doing it, so hats off to you, sir!

Thoroughly enjoyed reading the report, it's a big commitment to get through two days of naval carnage.

I think I remember seeing something about this once - when lined up the fleets stretch 16' if I remember?

Anyway, this took some dedication and the game looked to be amazing. Do you have a link to the rules anywhere?

Wow that's one impressive scaled battle. And resolving 280 ships a turn. That's some effort.

I'm impressed

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

Cheers everyone,

The British Battle line is around 15 ft the German about 12, so subtle changes in movement are not easy !

As for rules they're my own home brew, one day when I get time they will go up on the Yarkshire Gamer blog so keep an eye on that.

Problem is I always seem to be chasing other Projects, my paint table has a unit of Queens Rangers I need for an upcoming Monmouth refight along with three Mk IV tanks for our next Desert game along with some 15mm SYW for Minden !

True and if your using historical basis detailed as you did. Once a fleet formation was broken up or sperated it was a hard task to get the sections back into formation again.

Yeah. The battle lines are massive, a 12 foot line in real scale is miles, the back of the formation would not see even the middle with all there coal belching engines.

Impressive game. The fact you painted all those ships is a insanity In self.
