Basically looking to model a pile of gold, jewels, and whatnot that a dragon will be sitting above. Main question is what would be the best way to model a couple hundred coins that I could then glue into piles along with the gems and other treasures? Maybe a hole puncher and a bunch of old credit cards? I tried some google searching but it only comes up with actual gold coins.

Thanks in advance for any tips or advice.

Go to a Hobby Lobby or some similiar store and buy some bedazzling discs (I guess thats what they are called?). Pile them up, poor thin super glue on them, then prime and paint.

Also, finish it with some gold glitter discs. You'll have to trust me on this as it does not photograph well (did it myself for some Frostgrave treasure tokens), but it looks utterly amazing and really makes the treasure pop.

There's one with the flash off and one with the flash on there. The actual effect is somewhere in the middle.

I do see the diff in the photos and will definitely incorporate some into the mix. I plan on putting a number of different types of treasures in the pile and surrounding area.

Those treasure tokens look great BTW.

I agree, those are gorgeous treasures. Glittery things generally look better in real life than in photos, it's just a fact of life. You can still tell these are great from the pictures.
