So we already know most of what will be in the codex for eldar vs their index loadout. One major change has been to the autarch, his codex setup is completely different than his index one, with different rules that do different things and different war gear. We also already know that your allowed to run the loadouts from an index entry even if the codex has the same entry but with different war gear (looking at the dreadnought example with autocannons).
So the warlord trait that allows your warlord to target enemy charecters even if they are not the closest target on my old autarch with a reaper missile launcher is suddenly a sweet sniper, but would you have a problem if I ran such a loadout? Obviously I would not expect to get the new rules for the autarch in this setup, I am using an index unit, but is this right? Or do you think you should get the rules?
I don't want to be that guy but I have always run a squad of reapers with an autarch this way and I really like the idea even if it's not really as effective as other options.
What do you guys think? Looking for opinions before I bring it up to my gaming group. (Or someone else does, we do have another eldar player in the group...)
