Im a tad confused about relics, as my main army is still in index.

I am building a ravenguard army, and want the SOTEA, so if I am reading it right it does not cost a CP to gain? It's only if you take more than one relic do you start to spend CP?

Also, in this list I am bringing a IG patrol, and am wanting to bring a relic for them. Is this possible if my warlord is not IG? Can I spend a CP to get it regardless of who my warlord is?

Your first relic (from the faction that is your Warlord's) is free.

Whether or not you can spend a CP to gain a different faction's relic is unclear.

A recent faq has confirmed, you can use stratagems to gain relics for a faction other than your warlords faction
(if you meet all the other requirements for using the stratagem)
