Does anyone know any cheaper alternative miniatures can be used to proxy as Conscript? (ex: 10 for 20 models.....)
My friend is playing Guards and trying to get more Conscripts but the Gameworkshop price for guardsmen is so expensive, for type of unit that you need like 30+

I have bought 50 Iron Anvil custom soldiers, good cast and solid detail. There is some good sets you can find from Victoria Miniatures and Iron Pig Productions.

Ya these stores have nice varieties but none of them are cheap. They all sell 10 models for like 30-50, that's too expensive and close about the same price as GW. So a group of 30 modesl would cost nearly 100
and there shipping cost too.
Too costly for weak expendable unit.

In a week or two there should be plenty of slightly used Conscripts at fire-sale prices.
I have heard, though, that some company's plastic 28mm Napoleonics can do in a pinch. They look kinda Mordianesque and they are about a buck a figure.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

This, that's the cheapest ready to go sci fi models you're going to find.
That or maybe those old Wargames Factory Greatcoat troopers if you can find them at their original prices.

What pricemark you are looking for? Guess cheaper than 1,08£ per model which is what you can get for GW models. Only thing I can come up with is historicals if you either can convert weapons to look more scifi like, have spare guns or don't mind the napoleonic era look and weapons.

Warlord games soviets are the cheapest option I’ve found. They also make greatcoat versions if that’s your thing. Individual sprues of 8 dudes normally sells for 8 bucks, but in years past they’ve done Black Friday specials with 50% off their sprues, which brings the price to .50c US

What about Maelstrom's Edge models?
Contractors are approximately $2.33 per model and Broken Infantry are $2.21-$2.42 per model depending on set.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

If GW prices are too expensive how would even more expensive fit the bill?

eBayed cadians. I generally pay around 70p per model. Buy a big army in bulk, resell what is not needed and just repaint over the models. Unless they're crazily badly painted you won't notice much loss of detail (they're quite blocky as it is). I've amassed around 400-500 guard models over the years for dirt cheap this way.

10 Cadians (or Catachans) is $29, or $2.90 per model. Any other legion is $35 for 10, or $3.50 per model. How is MEdge more expensive?

a) there's the cheap 5 guys option b) online discount. I quoted above price I pay per cadian. 1.08£ per conscript.
