I purchased a Blood Slaugherer on EBay. 4 of the blades that attach to it's legs are missing, which I knew before I bought it. Thankfully, for each missing piece, there's a duplicate.

I tried casting replacement parts with Magic Sculpt, creating a mold for the blades. No dice, there were problems with the serration, dislodging the pieces broke them (even with a release agent), and the flash around the blades was impossible to clean without damaging the piece.

Wondering it there's a better solution? I have seen a couple videos on YouTube of liquid resin mixes that seem like they would be good. Anyone have any experiences in this area to share?

The pieces I am trying to clone are 2 - 3 cm in length and about 2 mm thick. It's tricky.

I cast pieces all the time and if you use a rubber mold and plastic polyurethane resin for the piece you will get perfect results. Here are links to what I use:

Plastic Resin: https://www.polytek.com/products/easyflo-60-liquid-plastic

You can watch some Youtube videos on the mold process, as there are some tricks to creating the mold and opening so you can pour in the plastic without issues. I have done some complex figures, like dogs, for example that came out great.
