So looking at all the HQ choices for Khorne, Thirsters give morale, Heralds give strength, and Skulltaker + DP gives rerolls to hit. Only difference is DP is ALL daemons while Taker is only bloodletters.

Is Skulltaker worth bringing if I can take a DP? Is his murder capacity and relative cheapness worth it as an HQ choice?

Vigo. Spain.

If you are spamming Bloodletters yes. And he is an AWESOME model.
In general Daemon Princes are more flexible.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

For me I'd use Skulltaker, but that's because my Lord Zhufor give them bonuses. Generally I actually prefer daemon prince since I almost never use daemons.

Uh... Skulltaker, the herald of Khorne does not have the "Skulltakers" chaos legion keyword. Nice try though.

Lord Zhufor is a World Eaters Terminator Lord special character from FW. In his stat line he has an ability called Lord of Skulltakers.

Lord of the Skulltaker - You can re-roll hit rolls of 1 for friendly Skulltakers units within 6" of this model.

Also, yes Skulltaker does have 'skulltaker' as a keyword.

Not sure if you're trolling or if you genuinely don't know this but, no, the keywords are not the same.

Zhufor's keyword is a Faction Keyword, it's listed in a different section under his datasheet. On top of that, it reads "SKULLTAKERS", not "SKULLTAKER"

Skulltaker's keyword is listed under his generic keywords and lacks the S, making them different, if ever so slightly.

This is like saying I can name my Genestealer Cult "CARNIFEXES" and suddenly Old One Eye buffs them all.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

No troll intended. I've been away from the game for a very long time and wasn't aware of these subtle differences. Upon further Googling, I've discovered that there is in fact a Skulltaker unit in lore. They're super berserkers of sort. Afaik they don't exist in 40k. I misunderstood the units in question, apparently having two things with nearly the same name is a cool thing to do GW. I'll see myself out now.

FTR, I thought it was weird that he buffed the daemon herald ST. Now it makes sense...he doesn't.

Bare in mind, Forgeworld and normal GW rarely if ever talk about one another in rules. And the unit I was asking about is a fairly old, fairly unplayed Khrone Daemon HQ choice

Heralds didn't exist when I played before, and I'm still getting used to the whole keyword thing it seems.

Forget everything I've said in this thread lol.

Too late, I will bump this thread eternally to show all your mistakes. This is your lot in life now.
