Came across a great deal on some used nids, after a little conversion work and a few additional purchases this is what I have so far. I would like to know where you would go from here to get to 2000 pts and make this a harder hitting list. Currently running Nids + GSC for cult ambush on the genestealers. Currently at 1794 pts. I felt like this is a good start and so far it is really fun to play. I know it isn't hyper competitive, but this is meant to be my fun army. Where would you more experienced Nid players go from here? Things I was thinking would be biovores? Hive guard? I feel like the list has a lot of units that get in your face really fast (trygon + hormaguants, primus + genestealers, rippers, raveners all come in from reserves and plenty of super fast units on the board), but some more shooting might round it out?

I do not like it. The hive tyrant will be shot down fast. Exocrine is your only solution if you meet something you can not fight because it is dangerush, or you can't get to it because of bubble wrap or possition.

Nids get a new codex in 2 weeks. Dont change to much before then.

I won't. But here is an idea, thinking of dropping the tyrant and adding a gsc primarch since it hits just as hard (if not slightly harder), can't be focus fired, and gets the gsc reserve table to show up in their face.

I agree on shooting. What other shooters are good right now? Based on what I've been looking at I am thinking a second exocrine or hive guard.

Well the simplest thing would be to add some more GSC leaders...a Patriarch for the stealers, and say 3 to five Magi in a Supreme command...that might make this too hard edge for friendlies though....also in the "Pure" Nids section some Devil gants (Termagants with Devourers) could be useful. I'd say you will want to split the Warriors up for Synapse, as you're a little light right now.....Good luck! And welcome to the Hive Mind!

The last thing you can consider is adding in "Brood Brother" AM units, you might find some cheap AM units to bolster your table presence.....

I have about 4000 points of guard, which was one of the selling points of starting nids.

Oh, so exited about the leaks for the new nids. So much deep strike available!
