So this is a second army I'm planning to build to act a bit as a budget list, using the new start collecting box as a basis. MEQ reinforced by vehicles is probably the most common thing I face, with occasional admech or dark eldar. I don't want the list to be wide open to Horde, but I've tried to make selections with my current opponents in mind.

My biggest concern is that the Wave Serpent carrying the Wraithguard is a substantial target, and I'm not sure what outs I have against that (Eldar is very, very new to me). Any advice would be welcome, as I'm on Square 1, maybe square 2, at best.

Yes, a WG serpent is a target ... so have two. But in a 1k list, that is a points sink.

For this list as is, would a cheaper HQ be more correct to shoehorn in Dark Reapers in place of the Guardians? Or is one squad of dark reapers sorta....not enough to get it done?

Aside, I'm also toying with going up to 1500/75PL If I end up liking the army. At that point should I assume it's correct to drop the Guardians and War Walker, then use those resources to bring in 2x Dark Reaper Squads plus another Wraithguard squad?

Also...generally speaking, if i were to add another HQ to a larger list--would a second farseer be correct, or would warlocks be more cost effective as supplimentary psykers?
