Played a game today. Some questions came up:

- Can you consolidate when you pistol shoot your opponent?

- What when a 3rd unit smite away your opposing unit in the psykick phase, can you consolidate?

- If your opponent removes models in a combat, can that remove enough models and now one of the units involved in the combat is no longer in close combat?

Consolidate happens after a unit fought in the Fight Phase.

To consolidate the unit has to be a legal pick in the Fight Phase (so a unit that charged or has models in 1" of an enemy unit).

Look at 5. Fight Phase in the BRB.

For completion:

1) Consolidate is only in the Fight Phase and not in the Shooting Phase.

2) Only if you charged a different target and as the last step in the Fight Phase. If your unit did not charge that turn they can not consolidate.

3) Possible, but if your unit charged that turn you can still pile in 3" and consolidate 3" as long as you move closer to the nearest enemy model.

I f locked in combat, and you shoot pistols and kill enough to get out of combat , then charge again .
