Ive been scratching my head over this for awhile. Is it better to let your HQs have free movement control and have the Daemons start on board, or is it better to keep them in reserve so they dont get shot to hell over the 2-3 turns of footslogging?

I'd start with HQ on board since it's easier to hide one dude than a squad. Then summon in when it's opportune.

It depends on your enemy. If your playing an enemy like guard, who use gunlines and make you go to them then start on the board. If your playing a force that wants to get in close like space wolves or tyrnaids than I would summon first turn.

The best way is to not bother.
