Greetings warlords

I am converting from imperial guard to the plague father.
I was going to go pure renegade and heretics but they are easily the worst army in the game ATM.
So I'm going to convert my guardsmen to cultists or disciples and get typhus to spread the love.

Please help me with this list thank you.
I'll use the death guard ability to allow poxwalkers to get reinforced by any casualties nearby and shield them with the other ability so they cannot be targeted unless they are the closest unit which will be cultists who are there to come back as poxwalkers. All the while my Russ tanks are blasting them to the warp. I know the list is over slightly but battlescribe has not updated the points cist on the Russ tanks to reflex their new costs since the guard codex came out so this list is legit.

Good list ideas. We do have a problem , to unlock the Death Guard stratagems you want, you need a pure Death Guard detachment.
Suggest splitting typhus and the zombies into a patrol. You'll need to find points for another hq.

Ah I did not know that. What would you recommend. A lord of contagion for the mortal wounds and extra melee or a plaguecaster for more spells?

Given the lack of points another Maelific Lord would probably be easiest

I've gone with the lord of contagion for more mortal wound output and more cp. Also I believe that russes in a spearhead get objective secured.

Not entirely sure about renegade Russes gaining obsec. It looks like they do tho.
