Hey again,

I’m back with another army list. This time, I decided to just go wild and spam tanks. I have no idea if this is good, but it looks like a hell of a time.

As I’ve said before, I’m not going super competitive, I just want to have a good time.

Thoughts plus your C and C are welcomed.

How are the tallarn tanks working out for you? I've had games with cadian and catachan and always found moving was my biggest pain.

Are you considering taking the old grudges warlord trait for super heavies? Rerolling wounds is VERY powerful.

Is the lack of an infantry screen causing any issues?

This is mostly theoretical as I want to find the right list for me first before I start investing in the models.

I for sure wanted more infantry and better tanks for more dakka.

On paper, the factions seem great. Steel Legion let’s you mop up very efficiently, Valhalla seems like the best fit for the Stormlord, and with the amount of tanks Tallarn seems great for mobility.

I’ve been trying to see if other Baneblade could work. I’m torn between Stormlord or HellHammer—but I think this works as a way to not only bring infantry around, but to also bring a lot of dakka.

If you want to test this out you might want to either try proxy battles in a store (non GW) or at home. The other option is Roll20 in the 40k community. It’s a really nice way to try some stuff out. Granted it’s 2D, but it is functional.

1. You're not getting regimental bonuses in super heavy detachments (pg 132 of the codex).
2. While the Demolisher is *nice* it's rarely going to make enough of a difference to cost another Lascannon.
3. You might want to consider multi-meltas on your tallarn commander; with the high BS, mobility and outflank potential you'd get a lot of mileage out of them.
4. I'd also be a bit leary of arming vanilla russ with lascannons ; hbolters are *good enough* for the accuracy they have if you're not cadian
5. The Stygies vanquisher isn't worth it; if you have access to forgeworld and the freedom to use it; replace it with an Annihilator as it'll outperform it every time.

That's much more efficient; although you might want to transfer the lascannons in BS 4 to make more use of your Supreme Command tanks BS3

From experience, putting Las / Plasma on regular russes is a waste of points. You're better off making one of those a tank commander with the same loadout and making the other one heavy bolters.

Stygies VIII Sydonian Dragoons are way better than Sentinels if you own them (or can afford them).
