So, warp smiths are hard to find, theyre old and sorta pricy for what they are. Any good options for a conversion? I was considering Admech models.

What about using a sorcerer and using the cable bits from a hellbrute or defiler scourge as the tentacles? Add appropriate gun tips to some of the tentacles via marine special weapons sprue.

See if you can bum either some tentacles off a DE player with Talos (the tentacles are used for Cronos), the scourge off of the Helbrute, or some tentacle bits off of a necron player. Those would make really good mechanandrites. Then just attach a suitably gribbly head to the ends and glue this contraption on a plastic CSM body. Boom Warpsmith.

Alternatively, Chaos up a Techmarine, or look for the old "warsmith" model.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Make a million cables with a tentacle maker

and kit bash one using generic chaos/marine bits.

otherwise if you dont want to green stuff you can always use guitar or piano wire. though be warned its spring steel cut it carefully and have eye protection.

This is a golden tool. I've used it in almost every project since I bought it
