I'm painting up a marines chapter who was mostly destroyed by the tyranids so I thought as a little nod to that I would put the odd tyranid part on the models base. One Idea I have is for my terminator captain (the one who is modelled stood on a rock) to have a carnifex head laying under next to the rock (like he chopped it off). However, when googling for example I couldn't find any. Anybody have any suggestions or images of similar examples?

I can get some miliput and put it on the bottom to make it look like it's crushed in the ground.

Are you putting the head in place of the rock? or is the head smashed by the rock?

I think you can just put the head in place of the rock. If it doesnt fit flush build up the other foot with greestuff, or file part of the head down and put his foot in it, maybe with brain matter coming out or something.

See if you can bum the "regen"/"OOE" head off of the fex kit. You only need that half and if you just glue it straight into the base, it looks like the thing was shot in the face and it's falling impact was so hard it buried itself in the ground. The only problem is the neck stump; it has a ball joint for connecting to the fex's torso, so it's lacking detail. You'll need to sculpt some fleshy gibblets there and possibly dig out part of the neck with a pair of clippers before gluing it on.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
