Very nice use of bone and red instead of the usual green. What colours did you use for the armour?

The armor is made of Zandri dust then I washed it with agrax earth shade and layered it with Ushabti bone and highlighted it with white scar. The gold is just balthasar gold with shade of agrax earth shade and dry brush with auric gold.

Fantastic choice of colors, which really brings out the various details of the model.

I liked it until I got to the blue...really jarring and doesn't seem to work with the rest of the model. Nice paintwork, regardless.

Very beautiful work, the base doesn't do the model justice though. With such a large base I feel like you could have done more to really make the model pop.
I agree with the blue also, it doesn't fit the colour scheme you were going for. Really great work all things considered.

Thanks mate glad you liked em.

Ahh it does go a bit out of place I must agree I do not know what is wrong with me but I really do feel like it gives it more diversity. I am not an art person myself but I kind of like the contrast.

Thanks mate. There will be more work on the base I just want to start making the other part of the army since he is my first Deathguard model once I decide on a team for the base I will do some more work on his base.
Ahhh again the blue thing is I really thought it was a great idea xD.
I need to get a book about what colors to pick when.

I like the blue for a contrast and not a single blob of mono colour.

Some like strong contrast some don't, it is a personal thing.

I need to go to work every day.
