Hi there guys, my store only allow 1000pts games on gaming nights and have been trying to come up with an all tank Guard army and came up with the following list:

HQ: - Tank Commander in Vanquisher with lascannon, heavy bolter sponsons, augur array, track guards, laurels of command=248pts

Heavy Support: - Leman Russ Squadron; 2 LRBT with lascannon, heavy bolter sponsons, augur array=380pts
- Leman Russ Punisher with heavy bolter, heavy bolter sponsons, augur array=176pts
- Leman Russ Exterminator with heavy bolter, heavy bolter sponsons, augur array and track guards=191pts

I was contemplating swapping out either the Punisher or Exterminator with an executioner but not convinced. Any thoughts?

0.Spearhead? If so you need an extra HS; and a Wyvern is probably the only thing that'll fit. If you're not stuck with detachments in your area, then you're as well just making all of them tank commanders.
1. Vanquishers are, sadly, a waste of plastic. Make him a Punisher to really get the most out of bs3, since he's going to be targeted by stuff in close range *anyway* at 1k pts
2. Laurels of command only affect voice of command, not tank orders, and are thus wasted.
3. Augur array is not worth it. Scrapping all of them would be enough to introduce stormbolters, or upgrade your HQ tank to pask if you're going that route.Pask in particular would grant you, effectively, the laurels anyway.
4. BS4 lascannons always underpeform; better to get HBolters and maybe but a Hunter/Killer on your HQ tank
5. Exterminator is worth even less than the Vanqisher somehow; if you can get some tasty tasty plasma then by all means go for it.
6. I'm personally on the fence about track guards, but I suppose the reliable mobility will matter in small games (and i'm assuming small tables)

I have 3 HS, not sure where you think I am short on that front for spearhead. The rest I will look into.

Seconding on dropping the vanquisher.
Exterminators are best on two commanders telling eachother to reroll 1s. If you aren't OCing, you're doing it wrong. LOL
