Greetings everyone, one simple question. I didn’t find anything on the FAQs,
so Plague drones are better and cheaper in DG codex. Does this change their profile in
the index? Or I should just use the DG profile because daemons don’t have tactics or anything?

Codex datasheet overwrites datasheet index. Unless you have an old model who has options which arent in the codex. Then you are allowed to use the index.

Thanks for the answer, my question was about using the codex datasheet for nurgle daemons because its better and cheaper.

They kinda did answer, but to reiterate, you use the Codex datasheet and points costs.

Can I combine units from the index and a codex into one army?
The datasheets in the new codexes overwrite the same datasheets in the index books. You can certainly use units with updated datasheets alongside units from the index that have yet to be updated. Once a unit has been covered in the codex though, we assume you’re using the latest version.

Funny, you've been in threads arguing against using codex Astra Militarum entries for DKoK or Elysian armies when it would benefit them to do so.
