I have a question about the Metalica dogma. First a quote:

If a unit with this dogma Advances, it can ignore the penalty for firing Assault weapons and treats all Rapid Fire weapons it is armed with as Assault When until the end of the turn.

I have seen two ways of dealing with this rule and its equivalents and would like your opinion on which is right.

1. When firing the rapid fire weapons as assault they there is no penalty for firing after advancing.

2. When firing the rapid fire weapons as assault they there is a -1 penalty for firing after advancing like a regular assault weapon.

It's number 1. It can only be number 1. Anyone saying otherwise is simply wrong. It literally tells you to ignore the penalty for assault weapons. Your weapons are Assault for that attack, it doesn't matter if they were Rapid Fire before, they are Assault now.

Obligatory "You can't even fire them anyway look at my sig" remark.

They can ignore the penalty for firing assault weapons.

And they treat all rapid fire weapons as assault weapons.

There is only 'rapid fire weapons' and 'assault weapons' there isn't a 'rapid-fire/assault hybrid' weapon that acts like an assault but misses out on the bonus.
