Subject: [2000] - Necron - Hard vehicule list to complete
I find it hard to make a good necron list theses days with all the other new codexes coming out. I won the first games when we played with the index, often with one or 2 monolith on the list (!) but it doesn,t work anymore.
Anyhow i'm working on this concept. It hits hard and the vehicules are hard to kill. I have to complete it with infantry / elites.
1700pts, 300pts to add
-Overlord, orb, warcythe
-Cryptek
-Immortals 10 tesla
-Immortals 10 tesla
-Immortals 10 gauss
-Triarch stalker Particule shredder
-Triarch stalker Heat ray
-Doomsday ark
-Doomsday ark
-Doomsday ark
Tried this list with twin guauss canons on the Stalkers, to shoot at 36'' and 72'' from the far back. But i find it was misusing the arks as they barely ever get killed (lost one or 2 in a dozen games) and you have to use their 60 rapid fire S4 ap-1 shots at close target. If you start on the front row, chances are you will never need to move either and will be able to use your full canon.
I was thinking of keeping the immortals at the back for a few rounds. Immortals always get wipped out. Always.
If i add warrior there will not be a ghost ark without taking out a doomsday ark (they are magnitised).
So what you guys think?

I was at an event recently and will pass on my opinion.
I think your list would Benefit from the Deceiver C'tan. When I was playing my oppontents often had 6-9 unit in reserves so I had to deploy my DDAs and Triarch Stalker before them which gave them a huge Advantage. With the Deceiver you get the chance to deploy him + D3 units after you discover who goes 1st.
I would swap the Overlord for. CCB, you lsoe the 4+ invul but you get +1 T, WAS, 7" movement, fly and I'd you take Toholk you can get the chance to get D3 wounds via living metal.
Completed the army yesterday. Played against a newbie but tested it nonetheless.
-3 arks, 2 stalker, 3 immortal units as above
Added:
-C'tan Shard the Nightbringner
-5X scarabs
Played against Dark angels and almost all the army was in teleportation chambers. So i deployed my arks up front, stalkers in the middle and immortals in the back. He got no choice but to arrive in front of me.
Doomsday arks did their defensive job! Offensively, it's still hit or miss. D3 serious shots only, you often get 1, then it misses or you hit somehting with a 4++ save. 20 rapid fire S4 shots where good at the end game blowing up a marine squad, but where innefective against almost everything else. Although the ennemy focused all game trying to blow these up and only killed one!
My stalker survived, barely. id their part. Take the heat ray. Always. Tryied all other options. Heat ray is the best, espacially the flamer + charge option at the end.
Immortal just finished the job here and there and stayed alive on objectives. Don't put them up front. Stay on terrain, get that 2+ save. Move your cryptek on wekened units.
Then that Nightbrigner. Mr. Death! This guy is a serious character killer!!! Destroyed Belial without breaking a sweat. You can advance 10+D6'' which is a lot and still do your pseudo-smithe and gaze of death which is assault D6! Start him protected, with his character status, and move where the big guys are. Use his flying and just kill the big targets. I get that people prefer the deceiver, but once his redeploy trick is past, Nightbrigner is better hands down!
