Simple question:

Can my death guard daemon prince have a warp bolter?

If so, would it cost 9 points as in the index?

It's an option for daemon princes in the index, but not in the death guard codex.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.

This is a tricky one.

The Daemon Prince of Nurgle datasheet is found only in the Death Guard codex. It can't take a warp bolter.

The index datasheet 'Daemon Prince' can take a warp bolter, and has permission to take the Death Guard legion.. so we can use that.. noting it doesn't have disgustingly resilient or contagion powers.

BUT this datasheet also appears In the Chaos Space Marine codex, so we must use that version of the datasheet. But now, we can't give it the Death Guard keyword, so that doesn't help us.

So basically no, no warp bolter.

So, if I had a daemon prince of nurgle model with a warp bolter, it would have to be a daemon prince from the CSM codex with the adeptus hereticus powers and any legion except Deathguard or Thousand Sons, right?
