Hey there, when I first started collecting miniatures, those were Gorkamorka-games, and now I got a little bit nostalgic, and made ork-list. I have never played with them in 40k, and I have played only one game against them. Any advise is definately appreciated here, so bring it on..

TOTAL 1991 / 8cp

Strategy is to deploy wide with hordes of orks, Ghazghkull in the center giving buffs. Big Meks and painboy tries to protect all masses, while weirdboy casts Da Jump on hordes. Everything should be able to advance and charge in same turn (well, perhaps not the first).

I am also looking at building a competitive list. Noticed you don't have any vehicles and/or any anti-tank weaponry (save for I guess the PKs in close combat). Thoughts on that?

Hi I'm new to both the forum and to Warhammer (came from a different table top game) and I'm getting into Orks for my first army. One question I have regarding your list is why you chose to run 3 20boys instead of running a 30boys and maybe dropping some points somewhere else to fit in the extra 10 for better survivability in that unit as well as more attacks. This isn't a critique but a new player looking to better understand.

While I can understand the desire for those CP and the need to get it through the battalion detachment would it not be possible to swap one of the Big Meks for a warboss? I do understand that the warboss would lack the same saves unless you took one in MA which would be pointless for reorganizing points but is that what would be most important since you likely wouldn't be leaving the warboss on it's own anyways? also there is the option of pulling points from the other detachments is there not? I'm also not aware of any real meta as of yet so if snipers and other methods of character killing is prevelant than I can understand wanting the extra saves. But 20 more attacks at least vs a durable HQ. which is more valuable and why. (again just trying to learn. XD)

Originally, when I planned this list, there was 3x 30 slugga boyz, but I had to drop something to squeeze it together. Bigger mobz could be nice, but I would keep both big meks for 5+invu save. Trick with this list is, if opponent concentrates shooting on boyz, I would have my nobz and storm boyz survive to get into combat. On the other hand, if he tries to shoot out nobz death star or characters, he would have to face 60 orks in combat.

Why the megarmor to the big meks? Without it they cost just 75 points with the KFF.

Ammo runts for nobz are highly recommended, they're handy ablative wounds for just a few points.

I'd cut the rokkits in the boyz squad, just bring more bodies. Maybe a min squad of gretchin as objective in your backfield since all your units are assault oriented ones.

With chapter approved power klaws are 13 points now and big choppas just 7. You may have rooms for a few additions.
