Hey gang, not 100% this goes here, mods feel free to shift it elsewhere if needed.
Been testing out the Crystal Fortress 'Orca' case for a while, using it to store my overly-converted cultists (who refuse to *not* break in my regular carrying case). It's a pretty simple setup, doubles as a display case for lazy people like me who don't like unpacking models between games. Haven't seen a lot of info on them in the community, so here's a quick review of their system and how I've taken to it.
Spoiler: I recommend them. Website is over at https://www.crystal-fortress.com

I've got a pretty good crystal fortress tower going. I'm a fan of the display/carry case idea and like that i can see my models when they're being stored.
I do recommend magnetizing your bases, and putting the ferrous 'steel rounds' on the case itself. I went aftermarket for magnets and steel rounds as the larger (40+mm) GW bases are a bit fiddly with the posts underneath them. (It's about 1/4 the price to get Litko rounds and KJ Magnets.)
Another thumbs up from me.

I've been looking for something just like this. Simple and inexpensive.

Is the flag by your profile correct (says Germany)? If so how did you get hold of the case? The delivery to Europe seems to add about 50% to the cost which makes it incredibly expensive. There appears to be a free delivery offer at the moment but that doesn't seem to apply to the UK.
The cases look great but given the delivery costs I'm on the lookout for an alternative. I don't want the case to cost more than the models inside!

Good question, the flag isn't accurate, I'm in the States these days. I've found them to be pretty responsive on Facebook messaging, can always hit them up and ask about the shipping

I'm working on a solution for storage and transport of my minis as well. I was going for the jewelry cases. I think this is cheaper and more durable for transport. its not gonna look as good though. Also the trays in this article is outdated. they come in 1'', 1,5'', 2'' and 4'' now.

Nice solution - something I may point out to some friends of mine. I use bases which you can't easily magnetize or I'd look at it for sure.

Nice choice. Kinda funny to me that there's all these different spectrums of aesthetics, portability, expense...and at the end of the day it comes down to what tray you like for your models

Right on. The magnets aren't mandatory, if you don't put them in then the models just sit inside the cutout trays. I just have an unhealthy love of magnets and all things magnetic in my hobby.
Magnets!
