So now with chapter approved pts values being leaked it's time for a new list. Any edits or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. The thunderwolf lord is to run with the razorback squads giving them re-roll 1's with the other three dropping in with the termies. The plan for the venerable dread will be to use the new SW stratagem to outflank him and put my distraction carnifex 9" away to deploy when most needed.

My two cents for your list,
1. Too many characters, keep logan and njal, and drop the rest for more units on the table.
2. The dread cant outflank, its infantry only

where does it say "infantry only" anything i've seen about outflank lists it as "any unit" and all of the leaks have listed it as "set a unit up on the hunt"

The stratagems says:

Use this stratagem during deployment when setting up a SPACE WOLVES INFANTRY unit... i dont know what leaks you ve seen . This stratagem is made for the wulfen

So you can use this Strategem, then move your Wulfens in Movement Phase, then Advance, then Charge? Or you meant 'deploys at the end of the movement phase' - that would give us just 9" charge roll (with re-roll) option, not so good anyways.

I agree the poster above about too many HQs.

Drop a few to add extra oomf to your army OR make it all about an elite army and stick them all in a landraider with Terminator support.

The second one you said, its very good cause its essentially a 1CP drop pod for wulfen you can have reroll charge and also buff nearby units with reroll charge

I was going off 3++ and ITC but that would be a good reason to drop the dread and take wulfen instead if it's infantry only. They were talking about thunderwolf cavalry using the stratagem and bringing them back to usefulness which i was also considering but it looks like that would be scrapped as well if its infantry only.

nice changes , i dont know what models you have but this is the most efficient 2000 points in my opinion for spacewolves

(Njal and Logan or Njal and Bjorn with twin las) [ Njal is there for anti psychic defence and smite / -1 to hit tempestas power, Logan is there for reroll to hit bubble and bjorn is reroll ones but he has a twin las and some devastating shooting and melee (your choice who goes with Njal) ]

TROOPS

3x GH squads minimum with one special weapon each squad (now that they got cheaper are totally worth in over bloodclaws)

3x Razorbacks (I prefer 1xtwin las, 2xtwin ass cannons)

wulfen squad 4TH/SS, 1 Leader with claws

one longfang squad (all lascannons)

A stormwolf with multimeltas + twin las + twin helfrost

Extra points to add either termies, WG bikers or WG Jump packers (your choice,)

Your list is pretty close to this core, would add a storm wolf with multi meltas instead of a second longfang squad, the wolf lord and the frost swords on the pack leaders. You drop logan in the middle and he does your lords job better and imagine having a full kited stormwolf next to logan for rerolls, devastating. I would change one razorback to twin las if you can find 5 points from somewhere to have it on the back as a mini las tank and put the bloodclaws in the stormwolf just for fun to also take the buff from wulfen who will drop with the stratagem. With the stormwolf you also have the choice to transport the wulfen if an opponet tries to counter your outflank stratagem using clever deployment

I've been thinking about the storm wolf, much to the dismay of my local gaming buddies (this is a friendly list, my competitive list is todes w/ rex and IG support, until that beautiful new todes hq drops). Have you noticed the stormwolf being priority target #1 with multi meltas tho, and even if it is does it get the job done? Everything I've seen says it'll be peeled off the board by turn 2-3 so it has to pack a mean punch before its gone. I'd probably run the gunship over the transport just because I probably wouldn't put anyone inside.

Yeah, I always run the stormwolf with its cheapest loadout, you save about 70-80 points.

With the new points costs TWC can also compete with wolf guards bikers, jump packs and terminators.

Not sure about logan since I've tried him yet but Njal, Arjac, Bjorn, a wolf lord on thunderwolf with the Krakenbone sword are all very solid as HQs. Even a wolf priest if you have multiple close combat oriented units like TWC, termies and wulfen.

Wulfen can now outflank with the stratagem, don't embark them. If you want the flyer run it empty or with some cheap units embarked like grey hunters, blood claws or footslogging wolf guards. The gunship went up in price and it doesn't add that much firepower compared to the other version.

I have TWC models and they always did well but I also always felt like they were missing something like outflank to really get them there quickly. I also used bjorn for a while but with the alpha legion trait screwing plasma because he only re-rolls 1's i've decided to try grimnar. I may give the krakenbone sword to my hq but it really needed to be d2. that straight three hammer has helped me on a few occassions smash some artillery that needed removing.
