New at warhammer. Have painted for awhile as hobby but now playing. Wrote out army list and would like some input and see if it’s a playable army. No big plans for tournaments just for fun. Also let me know if my points are wrong. It’s a battalion list

Indeed, the point cost for shield axe dreads is 145.

No ML on long fangs choose either lascannon or plasma cannon instead. (I play a lot of long fangs; 5 lascannons, 5 plasma cannons plus the sergeants and wolfguards as extra wounds buffer).

This list will grant 7 command points, use them well.

3x GH plasma squads with razorbacks = good foundation
Venerable dread = good. But run bjorn instead. He’s awesome.
Wolf Guard = better on bikes. More dakka. More movement. Toughness increase. Etc. They do cost a LITTLE more.
Long Fangs should all have the same weapon. They only get to chose one unit to get the refill 1s to hit, so that makes split fire less ideal this edition. Gunnar as they were the only unit that could split fire last edition. Go all plasma canon and overcharge them every turn to abuse that re-roll ones / preventing overheating, or all lascanons if you need to kill more tanks.
Wulfen = fun and expensive. Use these in the back of the advancing pack as a counter assault unit, you can be more aggressive with them, but don’t rush them into infantry fire / overwatch. They want to charge units (AFTER the grey hunters engage)
Predator = personally, I prefer either ALL Lascanons or stick with autocanon and just go with the cheaper heavy Bolter sponsons. That variation is better to press forward with the rest of the mobile gunline. Vs the lascannon one that wants to chill way back and shoot heavy armor.
Ragnar and Ulrick are both only good in a serious alpha strike, usually being dropped off with bloodclaws from a large transport. Leave them at home. Want names HQ selections. Use Bjorn and Njall. Make a nasty bubble around their auras and abilities in center map with the tanks. Flank the bikes on the sides OR just roll then with bjorn to get super amount of Bolter fire. Give them stroke bolters and shields to be cheap but still output a huge amount of bolter fire.
Base rune priests are good value. And iron priests are really good. Especially on thunderwolves escorting the hero dreadnaughts (Bjorn and Murderfang)

Finally, but maybe most importantly buy some cheap heavy earth magnets and drill bits (1/8 & 1/16” sizes for both). It’s easy to magnetize space marines arms, allowing you to test out everything. Not coming to the way you glued them. It’s WORTH the little extra work up front. Especially since we have not gotten an 8th edition codex. And what you want may change drastically really soon.

With chapter approved many points cost changed for the SW, many things become cheaper while the razorbacks a bit more expensive.

The dread shield is a bit more expensive but I don't remember its new cost, maybe 30 points.

Wulfen are now 40ish points cheaper.

About the list, it's really nice, I'd just go for lascannons for all the long fangs that can take a heavy weapon. Not sure about ragnar either in a list like this, I think a wolf lord on thunderwolf or njal could suit better. Bjorn could be another great add and with the new points costs you should be able to include him.

Not sure if you’ve seen the changes coming with chapter approved or not. Rune priest and Razorback with assault canon cost increases. Basically everything else goes down in price. The new strategem is basically a drop pod for wulfen! The list looks stronger. Take the plasma pistols off the lone wolf squad leaders. If they are in range for that. They are dead already! Wulfen + thunderhammers + Shields all see price drops. Heroes see price drops (except basic rune priests). Should be exciting.
