The Warlord is the Autarch Skyrunner with the An Eye on Distant Events trait so he can soak up Overwatch for the Shining Spears. The Fire Prisms and Dark Reapers are in the backline, Dire Avengers holding backfield objectives, and Rangers to either screen or to deep strike onto an objective depending on the army I'm facing. Wave Serpents have the Farseer, Spiritseer, and Wraithguard inside to advance up the board, but the Spiritseer will disembark first turn to give Protect to the Shining Spears as they also make their way up, Faolchu's Wing given to him to make sure he can keep pace somewhat with the rest of the army moving up.

I'm open to changing Protect/Jinx on the Spiritseer to Conceal/Reveal if that's generally a better defensive choice for the Shining Spears/Wraithguard or even switching to Quicken/Restrain to get the Shining Spears/Wraithguard to where they need to more quickly but that'll mean the Spears be out of range of the Autarch Skyrunner's reroll bubble, if only for a turn. However, the Spears most likely be able to shoot/charge into combat first turn instead of sitting around out of range from anything, so that's why Quicken is worth considering. Not sure which set of powers would be most useful in this instance. I'm also open to swapping out the Spiritseer entirely for a Warlock Skyrunner so he can keep pace with the rest of the advancing army better and even if he does have baby Smite, I'll likely be casting either Protect/Conceal/Quicken every turn rather than Destructor anyway, plus that gives me access to Seer Council to give my Farseer and Warlock +1 to their Psychic tests. Seer Council is very useful to have but I'm not sure if that's worth giving up full Smite on the Spriritseer and gimping points from the rest of my army to try and fit the Warlock Skyrunner in.

Tinkering with the list a bit for fun, I swapped the Autarch Skyrunner for a Farseer Skyrunner to go with the Shining Spears and left the on foot Farseer with the Dark Reapers take advantage of Forewarned and made it my Warlord. I'm also considering putting Quicken on the Spiritseer so that on top of casting Fortune and Guide on the Shining Spears, it'll let them get them to where they need to be Turn 1 in all likelihood. Not sure how much better this one is, but it has potential:
