I've been wondering for a while now about which of these two units is the better one. They can both transport troops, and fire a lot of dakka. The battlewagon is more expensive, but is a little tougher and can take a deff roller. The big trakk has grot riggers. Which of these would be a more effective unit for transporting/ generally killing stuff?

Battlewagon with deff-rolla, hard top and no shooting is your best option.

Battlewagon is usually taken without guns. Hardtop and deffrolla. Transports 20 models.

Big trakk is usually taken for the 4d3 s6 ap-2 flamer. It can also transport something small like kommandoes which is ok.

Neither is useful as a Transport this edition due to the horrendous points costs for Ork Transports across the board. The Big Trakk is great as a Flame throwing tank, if you REALLY wanted to put a unit inside (which I don't recommend) i would put Burnas or Skorcha Armed Nobz simply because it adds to what it already does...albeit for way to many points.

The Battlewagon is the same as the Big Trakk, except instead of anything ranged (even though it can take...wait for it....Kannonz, Lobbas, ZZap Gunz, Big Shootas, Rokkitz and Kill Kannonz) it takes a Ard Top and a Deff Rolla because it can't shoot to save its life. And for units to transport....again its better without them but if you must I would recommend either over priced tank Bustas or Nobz.

If you want nobz for flaming, you could just use burna boyz and equip the three spannas with kombi-skorchas. Saves some points on a unit that is going to die as soon as it gets shot anyways.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.
