I've got an old metal chaos dread with a thunder hammer. I'd like to replace it with a FW CC arm. With the contemptor pattern arms fit the classic dread? or should I just get an old metal arm?

No, contemptor pattern arms will not fit the box dreadnoughts. They have arms for the dreadnoughts, though those have dwindled away over the years, but look for the MkIV and MkV dreadnought arms, you might find something appealing there.

I decided I hated the arms on those old dreads. Big square upper portion and the little hammer. I chopped the whole things off and replaced with plastic SM dread arms, detailed up the open areas with some chaos icons and plastic strips
